50 yr. old twins with
disability are granted their lifetime dream to meet "Elvis
Presley"....

Kaye and Gaye, residents of Okeechobee County were
recently granted their lifetime dream of meeting Elvis
Presley...the impersonator. As they heard the news of
the concert coming to town, Kaye and Gaye spent the last
few weeks ecstatically preparing for the King.
Cerebral Palsy and immobility was no challenge for
the ladies at The Shrine Club on Saturday, January 19,
2008, where they were serenaded by their favorite Elvis
song "Love Me Tender". The event was a fund raiser for
individuals with disabilities and all proceeds for the
concert were put towards Shriner's Hospitals that assist
children in need. As a result, VIP America, LLC donated
eight tickets towards the cause.
Kaye and Gaye's love for Elvis began during a visit
to Tennessee many years ago when they witnessed their
older sister's Elvis collection. Since then, their
admiration for the King has been magnified through their
individual unique expressions. For example, Kaye & Gaye
once had two dogs given to them, one was named Elvis and
the other named Presley. And did we mention that the
ladies also named their wheelchairs Elvis? At birth, the
ladies were diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy. According to
Medical Encyclopedia, Cerebral Palsy is a permanent
brain injury or abnormal brain development that may
occur during fetal growth. As a result groups of motor
problems and physical disorders are common complications
that may require the use of a wheelchair.
The night was a resounding success with the ladies
returning home enchanted by the King.
